United World College Red Cross Nordic is part of the UWC movement, situated on the west coast of Norway. UWC is a series of 13 schools all over the world with a mission statement to “make education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future”. The schools do this through carefully selecting students from over 145 countries to receive a scholarship for a two year education leading up to the IB-diploma. RCN is currently home to 200 students representing 95 different countries.
The RCNMUN is a tradition, where the second year students take full responsibility for the organisation of the conference, and training of the first year students, who all take part. As a delegate at this MUN, you will most likely be able to talk about your assigned country with someone who was born there!
